DBX Explanation AdsFor B2B software teams

Your sales team explains the difference.
Your ads should too.

We turn the product explanation your team keeps repeating into three ready-to-run ads, shaped by feedback from relevant buyers.

Give prospects a clearer reason to consider your product before they book a demo.

The difference is clear on the call. It gets lost in the ad.

On a sales call, you can show how your product works. Walk through an example. Explain why the comparison a prospect is making misses something important.

Your ads have much less room.

When that explanation disappears, your product can look like another version of something the buyer already has.

Explanation Ads starts with one distinction your buyers keep missing. We turn it into an ad concept, find out what relevant buyers take away, and produce the finished creative for your team to run.

Give buyers something specific to understand.

Depending on the problem, that might mean showing:

  • Why two products that look similar solve different problems.
  • How your approach changes a familiar workflow.
  • When your product is a better fit, and when it isn’t.
  • What an important capability actually does, through a concrete example.

One focused pilot. Finished ads you can use.

We work on one product use case, for one buyer audience, on one advertising channel.

1

Find the explanation worth building around.

We review an agreed set of sales recordings, existing ads, product materials, and customer objections.

Then we identify the misunderstanding to address, the product evidence available, and the creative direction we recommend.

You review that diagnosis before committing to the rest of the project.

2

Hear what buyers actually take away.

We develop the explanation into draft creative and conduct six feedback sessions with relevant buyers, including people unfamiliar with your full sales pitch.

We ask them to explain the message in their own words, apply it to a realistic buying situation, and identify what remains unclear or unconvincing.

Those responses guide one substantive revision before final production.

3

Put the explanation into market-ready creative.

You receive:

  • Three finished ads, with accompanying ad copy.
  • Final exports and editable source files.
  • A matching landing-page message recommendation.
  • A concise buyer-feedback summary showing what changed and what remains uncertain.
  • A handoff brief for your marketer or media agency, including the question the campaign should test.

Review the plan before committing to production.

The professional fee is$7,500paid in stages.

Keep your marketing team. Give them a focused creative project.

We work alongside your internal marketer or agency.

DBX handles the explanation, buyer feedback, and agreed creative production. Your team handles campaign setup, targeting, media spend, distribution, and ongoing optimization.

Before we start, we agree on who will run the ads and when they expect to launch them.

You own the custom work once paid in full. We identify any third-party licensing requirements upfront. There is no required ongoing engagement.

A good fit for teams with a real product difference to explain.

This pilot is designed for you if:

  • You have paying customers and evidence that your product solves a meaningful problem.
  • Prospects repeatedly misunderstand something that matters to the purchase.
  • You can share product materials and relevant sales evidence.
  • A marketer or agency is ready to run the finished ads.
  • One person can consolidate feedback and approve the work.

Led by Denis Bundi.

Denis’s experience spans product management, instructional design, and learning technology.

He brings that experience to Explanation Ads with the team at DBX Expert Lab, applying it to how we structure an explanation, choose an example, and check what someone understood.

The work starts with the buyer’s current understanding and the specific decision they need to make.

A few practical details.

Timing

We target three weeks and confirm your schedule before you pay. That target depends on timely access to materials, research participants, and approvals. Recruitment or approval delays can extend the schedule.

Buyer participation

You can provide access to suitable participants, or we can arrange recruitment. We confirm the approach and any external recruitment or participant costs before you commit. Conducting and analyzing the six feedback sessions is included in the professional fee.

Revisions and production scope

One consolidated substantive revision round is included. We also correct errors or work that does not meet the agreed specifications.

Filming, complex custom animation, full website development, additional channels, and media buying are outside this pilot. Any additional work requires a separate scope and your approval.

What the feedback can tell us

Buyer feedback helps identify misunderstandings and improve the creative. A small qualitative study does not establish a statistically reliable winner or prove a conversion lift.

We do not guarantee views, leads, sales, or revenue. Campaign performance needs to be measured after launch with your distribution team.

Bring us the explanation you keep repeating.

Let’s look at what buyers currently miss, why it matters, and whether it belongs in your next campaign.

No preparation deck needed. Bring your website, one current ad if you have one, and the explanation your sales team keeps having to give.
