DBX Expert Lab

Copilot adoption support for public-sector consulting partners.

Help your agency clients put Copilot to work.

DBX prepares and supports staff to use Copilot on approved, everyday tasks. We turn your implementation team’s expertise into practical guidance, guided practice and follow-through, so you can see what staff can do and what still needs attention.

You lead the implementation. We deliver the agreed adoption support.

Discuss a Copilot adoption pilot

01 · FitWho this is for

Built for a rollout that is already moving.

  • Your firm

A consulting firm with an active public-agency Copilot rollout, and a gap in staff-facing adoption delivery.

  • One staff group

One group of agency staff and one important, recurring workflow they already own.

  • An agency sponsor

Someone at the agency who can approve tasks, standards and staff time.

  • Approved environment

Copilot available to participants in an environment the agency has approved, and staff able to take part.

Technology adoption is DBX’s wider specialty. Copilot is the entry offer: one workflow, done well, before anything larger.

02 · ExampleOne task, four stages

Practice that keeps the person responsible for the result.

Illustrative example — not a client case.
  1. Establish the standard

The task: an internal briefing drawn only from approved source documents. Before anyone opens Copilot, the group agrees what a correct briefing must include.

Source note: “Figures are provisional and subject to validation.”

  2. Draft with Copilot where supported

Staff draft the briefing using Copilot where their environment supports it, working from the same approved documents.

Illustrative draft: states the figures as settled. The qualification is missing.

  3. Compare and correct

The person compares the draft with the source, finds the omission and restores it. The judgment stays with them.

Corrected: “Figures are provisional and subject to validation.”

  4. Fresh, equivalent attempt

Staff attempt a new briefing of the same kind. We record the checks they made, where they needed help and what got in the way.

Recorded: checks made · help needed · barriers.

These are training examples written by DBX. They are not actual Microsoft Copilot output and do not report results.

03 · The pilotOne bounded, paid engagement

One bounded paid pilot.

  1. 01

    Workflow and readiness

Confirm the staff group, the recurring task and what is in place before practice starts.

  2. 02

    Task guidance and realistic practice

Guidance for approved tasks, and practice built from realistic versions of staff work.

  3. 03

    Facilitated sessions and first-use support

Sessions with staff, then a defined allowance of support as they first use it on real work.

  4. 04

    Reusable guide and manager handover

A guide staff can return to, and a handover so managers can carry the practice forward.

  5. 05

    Findings

What staff could do on the task, where they needed help and the barriers that remain.

Staff numbers, sessions, support allowance, duration, deliverables and fees are agreed in a written proposal before production begins. No additional community software or studio purchase is required.

04 · ResponsibilitiesWho does what

Clear roles before anyone starts.

  • DBX

Learning design, guided practice, agreed first-use support and handover.

  • Consulting partner

    Technical deployment, configuration and remediation.

  • Agency

Data approval, policy, task standards and operational decisions.

  • Before we start. The task standard, the reviewer and the evidence that counts for acceptance are agreed in writing.
  • What we record. Task completions in the approved environment, the checks staff made, where they needed help and the barriers that remain.
  • An honest limit. Accepted deliverables are not a guaranteed business outcome.

Evidence to decide what to extend, adjust or stop.

05 · MicrosoftConfirmed in scoping

Your environment decides what is possible.

Microsoft products, licences and government tenants differ. During scoping we confirm the actual Copilot experience, licensing and available features with the technical owners, and design practice around what staff really have.

Microsoft 365 Copilot service description (opens in a new tab)

Bring one rollout, one group and one task.

When you get in touch, tell us:

  1. The agency rollout and where it stands.
  2. The staff group you have in mind.
  3. The priority recurring task.
